As a proponent of small businesses, I know they are the backbone of the American economy. You can often find me patronizing small businesses, not just here in Arizona but nationwide. Here are a few facts; they account for a large majority of all U.S. businesses, they create two-thirds of new jobs, and generate over 40% of U.S. economic activity. Small businesses also play a vital role in their local communities, providing goods and services, supporting other small businesses, and sponsoring local events. We should all do our part to support small businesses by spending our hard-earned money for services, shopping locally and advocating for policies that help them succeed.

Crime has a devastating impact on our communities, eroding trust and hindering progress. We must be tough on crime, but not at the expense of fairness or justice. Our focus should be on holding criminals accountable for their actions, while also addressing the root causes of crime. This means investing in education, job training, and social services that can help prevent crime from happening in the first place. It also means ensuring that our criminal justice system is fair and impartial, and that everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Contrary to Conservative talking points, lies and tropes, crime in the US is still down. Regarding firearms, this is too much for a website’s blurb. I do know this, over 50% of gun deaths in the US are primarily from suicide. Suicide is not a crime issue. It’s a health issue. More directly, a mental health issue. In terms of schools and colleges, arming teachers is not smart. I come from a long line of educators. I speak with teachers from all over the US, from every level of education and I can say overwhelmingly, they do not want to carry nor bring firearms into a school setting. This also seems to be the case with law enforcement. I know many in law enforcement at various levels and none, that I know of endorse educators in schools with firearms.

Being the son of a former Diplomat, I believe it is vital for a candidate to understand the value of a global perspective and the importance of being present on the international stage. In our increasingly interconnected world, businesses, organizations, and governments must navigate complex global challenges and opportunities. A candidate who values and seeks a global perspective can bring a broader understanding of diverse cultures, markets, and perspectives. This can lead to innovative solutions, collaborations, and partnerships that drive success on both local and global scales. Additionally, a candidate with international experience can effectively engage with stakeholders from different backgrounds, build relationships, and represent their organization or country on the international stage, contributing to diplomatic efforts and fostering international cooperation.

Contrary to the popular belief of our friends on the Right, simply closing the border will not solve the problem. As a Project Manager, there’s one thing I know for certain; to fix a problem, one has to get to the root of a problem. Simply identifying an issue does not solve it. No matter how many talking point Faux… I mean FoxNews, InfoWars, NewMax , Hannity and all of Conservative-Twitter promotes. I believe the core issue is two-fold:

1.) People generally do not want to leave their homeland. So, what are the conditions that’s causing people to risk everything, traverse through multi countries, crossing multiple borders to take a chance on imprisonment and deportation? We must engage leadership of these nations. Help them set an atmosphere, internally which would make them self-sufficient. This can be done without nation-building. We can assist them using good-old American Capitalism.
2.) Mexico. It is imperative that we stop trying to solve the border issue without Mexico’s involvement. Mexico’s side is where the people are coming from and entering through. It is idiotic and short-sided to try to fix and solve the crisis without half of the problem’s involvement. Mexico's involvement is a must.
